Benefits for schools

What are the benefits for my school?

The Tell Them From Me surveys provide school principals and school leaders with insight into student engagement and wellbeing, and the impact of teaching practices at their school, from the perspective of students, teachers and parents. Data collected from the survey responses are compiled into reports for school leaders. These reports are provided to schools within three business days of the surveys closing. The reports provide information that can help schools in their annual planning and reporting activities, by helping to identify emerging issues and plan for improvement.

School planning and the wellbeing framework

School planning

The surveys provide valid and reliable data that schools can use for planning and reporting. In particular, the data is useful for self-assessing against the School Excellence Framework. This is an annual process, where schools evaluate their processes and practices, and set priorities for the year ahead. Tell Them From Me data can provide evidence across all School Excellence Framework domains. Learn more.

Wellbeing framework

Tell Them From Me supports the department’s Wellbeing Framework for Schools. Schools can compare their results year-over-year as well as against state norms and replica-school reference lines. The second snapshot student survey offers schools the option of asking open-ended questions customised for their communities.
